Neath Abbey

May 2008: 12th century Neath Abbey vaulting in the usually-out-of-bounds chapter house. If you ask nicely at the curator's house, they give you a giant key that weighs about eight pounds, and you can go and have a look at the vaulting and a whole bunch of scultures, and encaustic floor tiles. And it's a fantastic abbey, too - Cistercian. And in Neath. How weird is that? The green stuff is mould.
